    Captain Cook and the HMS Endeavour is a children's short story, to honour the return of the replica ship Endeavour to Whitby Harbour. It is Book five in the series of Sebastian Seagull stories and features, as the main character, Dracula Gull. ....Dracula is no ordinary seagull. His shiny feathers are black and purple. Above his webbed feet, he wears black leather boots with studs and chains linked around his body. His eyes are red and his beak is gold. He lives in a ruined Abbey in Whitby and is the charismatic leader of his Goth Gulls. They crave excitement and danger and are not afraid of anything or anybody. Being a seagull, he spends most of his time watching and observing the behavour of humans. He can't quite understand what their purpose in life is. They don't fly or go fishing in fact, as far as he is concerned, they are pretty useless.One day as he sits on the harbour wall, he is intrigued to see a beautiful tall sailing ship in the harbour. There is a lot of frantic activity happening with many men carrying large barrels and sacks of food on to the ship.A very distinguished looking man is giving instructions to his officers. They are dressed in smart uniforms and look important.Dracula wonders who this man is. Surely he can't be that important that humans salute him. In Dracula's eyes he is the most important being on earth. His curiosity gets the better of him and he flies down and lands on the ship's mast. After a quick survey of his surroundings, he heads inside the ship and enters a journey that will lead him into trouble and for the first time in his life he experiences real fear. Will Dracula survive his ordeal? Will he ever see his beloved Whitby Abbey and his Goth gulls again?Read on to find the answer.

Even the seagulls are having fun, providing a Christmas tree on the roof of a cottage for little Twinkle and her adopted gull mother Sharon. To add the final touches Twinkle and her best friend Gregory (youngest Goth gull from the bewitching Whitby Abbey) decide to sprinkle the tree with space dust given to them by Super gull on his return from space. What happens next disrupts the humans and the gulls and Christmas is threatened by a very unusual happening.
